Toshiba’s marketing director, Mark Whittard, made an interesting announcement at a press event in Australia. According to him, the company is busy working to produce a tablet touchscreen, nicknamed Toshiba SmartPad. Darling did not mention what operating system will use these tablet devices, but most likely the Google Android OS, or Microsoft Windows 7.
Details were not delivered at the event, but displayed a prototype device does not offer HDMI and USB ports, and is likely to support the digitizer and the ability to multi-touch. If all goes according to plan, Toshiba SmartPad scheduled to be launched in September / October, which not so long anymore.
